Naddniprianshchyna is a historical region in the central part of Ukraine, situated in the valley of the Dnipro River. The image of this region is a flat topography, fertile black soils, and full-flowing rivers. That is why these areas have always been densely populated. The Ukrainians’ ethnic origin processes took place here most actively (for example, it was from the Naddniprianshchyna dialect that the Ukrainian literary language emerged). The region attracts travellers with its nature: landscape parks, forest areas, and rocky canyons. Here you can find historical sites and buildings from different periods, including Scythian mounds and ancient settlements, medieval churches and monasteries, palaces and estates. Farming is developed here, and modern musical instruments and even experimental cars are produced.
