Cities

Ukrainian cities are standing and holding up, although Russia has been dropping missiles at them and shelling them for more than a month, and its media brazenly lie that Russia does not bombard civilian objects.

Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes, thousands of buildings were already destroyed. Illustrations of Ukrainian artists show all the situation very well. Each of their works is not only a way to reflect on their experiences but also to create a new reality. Because the love of Ukrainians for their cities and villages cannot be burned or destroyed whatsoever.

Children

Russia’s full-scale war on Ukraine has already taken the lives of approximately two hundred children. Unfortunately, these numbers continue to increase. The Russian army is cynically dropping missiles labelled “for children”, targeting children in Mariupol, Kramatorsk, Kharkiv, and other cities and towns.

Ukrainian artists are making heart-breaking works about the devestating stories of these children. Fleeing their hometowns, hiding in cold basements, seeing their loved ones dying, getting lost during an evacuation, or ending up in hospitals as a result of heavy, debilitating injuries — this is something Ukrainians will never forgive the Russian Federation for.

Home loss

Leaving your home is hard but losing it completely is one of the greatest fears of any person. Our parents’ home, a rented apartment, a self-built house or one we own are the places that shape us. The places that power us.

Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians are now left without a home as a result of the full-scale war with the Russian Federation. More than three million people have been forced to temporarily leave their homes. But this will not break Ukrainians either. We are ready to rebuild the cities and to provide shelter in our houses to those who need it.
