Ukrainian troops were ordered to withdraw from the city of Severodonetsk to more prepared positions. The battle for the city lasted over a month. The evacuation of civilians from Ukrainian frontline areas continues. About 300 children are living in modular towns for temporarily displaced persons in Lviv.

On the morning of June 26, Russian missiles hit a residential building and a kindergarten in Kyiv. The G7 Leaders’ Summit started in Bavaria, Germany. On June 27, a shopping center in Kremenchuk was engulfed in flames after being hit by a missile strike from the Russian Federation. As a result of the war with Russia, more and more Ukrainian couples are deciding not to postpone the decision to get married.

A total of 144 Ukrainian soldiers were released from Russian captivity, including some of those who defended Azovstal in Mariupol. The Russian Federation continues to shell civilian targets in Ukrainian cities. In many countries, rallies are being held in support of Ukraine.
