22/09 – 27/09. How Ukraine is resisting Russian occupation. Photo digest №36

On the 23rd of September, the Russia-appointed administrations in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories started sham referenda trying to create a legal precedent for joining Ukrainian territories to Russia. On the night of the 22nd of September, Mykolaiv was subjected to powerful Russian shelling, and residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged. On the 23rd of September, the bodies of people murdered by Russians were exhumed from the mass grave in liberated Izium – 447 bodies were found, including children.

24-25th September in Ukraine

Russian troops continue to shell recently liberated settlements around Kharkiv. On the 25th of September, Russian occupiers hit Zaporizhzhia with rockets, wounding several people. On the same date, Kharkiv hosted the first MetroPride in Ukraine, organized by the KharkivPride team.

26-27th September in Ukraine

Units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine continue to repel enemy attacks in the east and south of the country. On the night of the 27th of September, Russian troops struck the centre of Mykolaiv by multiple rocket launchers. A number of civilian objects were damaged: residential buildings, water supply system, and stores.
