100 photos of Ukraine is a large summary material that Ukraїner traditionally prepares at the end of each year since 2017. These are the most vivid and significant pictures that our team has taken during the last 12 months. The stories of powerful Ukrainian army brigades, reports from the de-occupied territories, the work of Ukrainian volunteers, farmers, cultural activists, etc. All of this is our modern history, which is worth recording and knowing.

In this publication, we summarise the year 2023. It began with a winter marked by energy terror, orchestrated by Russia through attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Despite the enemy’s attempts to intimidate us, this year will be remembered for the courageous and dignified military operations of our defence forces, and significant technological military advancements. This was exemplified by the first downing of the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal and the legendary “claps” in the territory of the Russian Federation and in Crimea. Also noteworthy are the major strides in decolonisation, European integration, and volunteer initiatives. Our team has also kept pace with these trends and challenges, continuing to articulate who Ukrainians are and what they are fighting for.

While you are reading this, we have fundraised around 110 000 US dollars, which is more than 40% of the amount needed to ensure the existence and development of our organisation throughout the year. You can support Ukraїner on our website or Contribee.

Don’t forget to check what the 100 photos were from previous years: 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 and 2018!
